Hi, I’m Jo. Art has always been a part of my life. One of the first tutorial books I ever got was a step by step guide on how to draw animals and I’ve had a love for this type of art ever since. Initially I trained as a games programmer while art remained a hobby on the side, but a few years ago I decided that I wanted to see how far I could take my creative skills. I’ve set this space up as a place to share some of my experiences on this art journey.
I feel that it’s good to have a connection to nature and art gives me another way to express that. I like to go on walks and take photographs, which are then used to help inspire a lot of the art that I create. I also have two beautiful cats and a space next to my desk where they like to sit and watch me paint. I’ve developed a semi-realistic style that incorporates the aspects of art that I enjoy the most; lighting and colour in particular.
