While the safeguards were supported by 483 MEPs, including 19 Irish MEPs and 102 MEPs voted against it - including Independent MEP Luke Ming Flanagan, Independent Ireland MEP Ciaran Mullooly, and Sinn Féin MEPs Lynn Boylan and Kathleen Funchion.
