middle aged civil servant trying hard not to be a middle aged civil servant, without inviting folks to laugh at me (they can laugh with me, not at me).

Learned to drive at the ripe old age of 43.

married for over 30 years. I have been owned by cats for most of that time, but currently cat-less.

Seem to have an affinity for sarcastic people as close friends and lovers - odd, because I was never sarcastic myself until quite recently (it's the Civil Service, I tell ye - we all turn into the "Yes Minister" cast in the end)

I'd love to be considered diplomatic, but I'm more likely to speak my mind bluntly.

Have a highly developed sense of humour - but don't like comedy movies and tv (usually).

Developing a keen interest in digital photography.
