All gallery folders have a per week or per day submission limit.
Please only submit your best work: quality over quantity.
Use of bases must abide by the base creator's rules.
Submissions are subject to vote. We reserve the right to decline submissions if they don’t adhere to our quality standards. All decisions are final; we don't have the bandwidth to accommodate discussions regarding declined submissions.
Mature content is accepted as long as they abide by DA’s Etiquette Policy and is submitted to the correct folder.
We do not accept watchers-only deviations or AI creations. Please note: If your gallery has images created with AI-assistance or your submission doesn't pass our review, it will be declined. (More info. here)

As you may be aware, our group has been hosting regular contests on the even months of the year since August 2024. Here is a quick recap: Total number of contests: 11 contests Total number of participants: 619 participants Total number of entries: 692 entries, some with multiple adoptables, viewable here. Total number of adoptables sold: 440 adoptables approx., as of 28 April 2026 Art prizes: 57 instances of art prizes donated by the artists of our community [EMOTE] some of which can be viewed here. Total [EMOTE] prizes: 90.7K [EMOTE], of which 6.5K were donated by generous members of the community, and the rest were sponsored by @Community These contests were possible thanks in no small part to the [EMOTE] prize and promotion support from the @Community group through its affiliate programme. Once you buy an adoptable, that design becomes yours to use in your stories, artwork, roleplays, or any creative projects. These designs can be anything from humans and animals to fantasy creatures, new species, or even objects and settings. While the concept didn't originate on DeviantArt, this site played a pivotal role in standardising and popularising adoptable culture. But, adoptables are usually seen as something commercial - something you buy, sell, or trade. And while they are, in fact, monetised, here's something that gets overlooked: they're works of art. So "finished" ychs or are sheets (from myself as an example) allowed too? I just discovered the ych/adoptable world and wanted to know! Thank you for the answer.

There is a folder for completed YCH, and each of the 3 folders for humanoid, animal and anthro have a YCH sub-folder as well for currently open YCH offerings

Still okay for me personally, I dont post much but a lot of my watchers do get my adopts, not all of my designs which is fine. Not everything I make will find its owner immediately is how I see it now :3

From my perspective as a small artist still learning the adoptables scene here on DA, it’s honestly really tough. Finding the right audience feels like searching for a shiny Pokémon. We’re competing with AI-generated adopts that are cheaper and pumped out fast, even if they lack detail. A lot of solid buyers and talented artists left DA long before AI became a thing, so the space feels quieter now. And yeah, many of us worry our art could be used for AI training without consent. There are still loyal supporters (and I’m super grateful for them), but even when I hit 1.5k+ views, no one seems ready to bid. So we kinda have to promote elsewhere. Just to clarify though, not all adopts get featured , mostly SFW ones.
