A Quiet Way of Seeing : Two decades of street photography between California and the Bronx [EMOTE] Some photographers build an audience. Others, more quietly, build a way of seeing. Present on DeviantArt for many years, @JGiraudPhotography has developed a body of work that remains understated, almost removed from the usual dynamics of visibility. And yet, not long ago, a Daily Deviation brought this singular path into the light. Originally from California and now rooted in the Bronx, he has spent nearly two decades practicing street photography, shaped by the energy of New York, its faces and its constant movement. Behind this consistency lies a more intimate journey, marked by rupture and reconstruction. Through this exchange, we discover a photographer deeply attached to a form of freedom, favoring the accuracy of a captured moment over the pursuit of recognition. With that out of the way, let's get started. @PromotingPositivity News 6/2/21 A message to all group admins: I had to repost Positive Comment: Volume 178 again because the draft I set up for Monday didn't submit correctly. I just tested it and got the same result. So it seems that prepping a group journal and saving it to Drafts causes it to submit to the personal page later (I submitted a bug report to hopefully this is resolved soon). In other news, it is June/Pride Month. So we have a new folder for Pride Month where group members can submit their Pride/LGBTQIA+ content (2/Day for now so that we don't get overwhelmed)
