About us

Harmony is at the heart of Juniper Three, a retro-pop vocal trio composed of Aimee Penman, Laura Hill and Outi Karhu. The trio write and arrange their songs as a collective, creating a tapestry of genres in an interweaving of voices and embracing the ethos of three solo singers coming together to share the lead.

Juniper Three released their self-titled Debut EP in 2023. Following festival appearances and sold-out headline gigs in 2024, they headed to Dystopia Studios at the start of 2025 to record their debut album, Spiral, with a stellar all-female backing band composed of some of Scotland’s most exciting session musicians. The first four singles from the album have garnered wide praise and radio plays from BBC Radio Scotland and local stations, and playlist adds including RaveChild and Scots Whay Hae.

The album draws on the trio’s personal reflection on life, loss and love both past and present through catchy hooks, soul-infused rhythms and jazz-inspired harmonies with a nod to 70s sonic soundscape and nostalgic 90s pop melodies.

Spiral will be released on 21st May 2026, with a live launch event with full band at The Bungalow, Paisley.
