Kiki Burton shared thisOne of my favorite recent surprises was finding out that two marketing geniuses I really respect, and folks I’m lucky enough to call friends, actually know each other 👋 Austin Hay & Pranav Piyush And not only that, they teamed up to create a magical podcast: https://lnkd.in/dcTsMgsy If you are in B2B marketing, this one is a must-listen. Hot takes, super practical advice, and the kind of conversations that make you stop and think, “Phew, I'm not the only one.” This is not a sponsored post, just genuine excitement (they have no idea I'm posting this). It has become a little ritual for me. Sunday night, packing my kid’s backpacks, getting mentally geared up for the week ahead, GTMN in my ear 🎧 I am still low key shocked they were friends this whole time. Maybe one day I will even get an invite to hang 😉 If you are looking for something smart, real, and actually useful for B2B marketers, I highly recommend giving it a listen.

Kiki Burton shared thisIn the summer of 2024 after a decade in San Francisco, we decided to move our family back to the DC area, where both my husband and I grew up. As someone working in tech, I accepted that the tradeoff would likely mean spending a lot of time on the road, with frequent trips to the Bay Area and NYC. So you can imagine how surprised and excited I was when I was connected with Upside, which just so happens to be based in DC. To make it even more serendipitous, the recruiter who introduced me had no idea we were planning a move back. The past year and a half at Upside has been a highlight of my professional career. We’re tackling genuinely interesting problems at the intersection of the digital and physical worlds, and I get to do it alongside a truly best-in-class team. That’s why seeing Upside recognized in Built In's 2026 Best Places to Work (with nine awards!) is particularly special to me. It’s a reminder that sometimes you really can have your cake and eat it too. The Bay Area will always hold a special place in my heart, but DC is where it’s at, folks! PS: We’re hiring for some awesome GTM roles across PMM, RevOps, and Accounts. In addition to DC, we also have great offices in NYC, Austin, and Chicago. Kiki Burton shared thisIt's so rewarding to see the spending power we are giving back to consumers. Here's to the next billion 🎉Kiki Burton shared thisI'm thrilled to share that users have earned $1 billion in cash back on Upside. This achievement is really a testament to the trust that our users and partners place in us. We don't take that for granted, and we don't treat one billion like some abstract number. We think every day about every dollar that our users have earned — money they can put towards whatever matters most. And of course, none of this (including $2.5 billion in incremental profit for retailers) would be possible without the Upside team's relentless dedication. We're driven by this success, and we're ready to keep going. https://lnkd.in/eiJGWK9kUpside Users Earn More than $1 Billion in Cash BackUpside Users Earn More than $1 Billion in Cash Back

Kiki Burton shared this📣 Over the past couple of months, I’ve had the chance to contribute to the RevTech Essentials course on Maven, led by the one and only Austin Hay. The goal of this course? To cut through the noise and give you the tools, lingo, and frameworks to make smarter revtech decisions—the kind that actually move the needle. It’s the behind-the-scenes magic that rarely gets the credit, but let’s be honest… the right tech stack can be the difference between scaling like a rocket ship or spinning your wheels. Each week, Austin brings in guest contributors (👋 that’s where I come in!) to dig into different aspects of the revtech landscape—by stage, by need, by tool type—you name it. You’ll also hear from pros like Justin Tung ☁ and Pranav Piyush, who know this stuff inside and out. 🔥 Even better? I’ve got a magic link that gets you 50% off the course. Kiki Burton shared this🎉 Personal News Alert 🎉 I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined Upside as Chief Growth Officer! 🚀 I’m excited to be part of this innovative platform, where I’ll be focused on driving retailer growth and helping businesses unlock new opportunities for incremental profit. This summer also brought a new chapter for our family. After 10 years in the Bay Area, we decided to move back to DC, which is where my husband and I are both from. We are excited to be back home and to raise our two girls here! Upside is a marketplace dedicated to bringing value to every point of brick-and-mortar commerce. Consumers gain more purchasing power on everyday essentials, businesses earn proven incremental profit, and 1% of our revenue supports sustainability initiatives in the communities where we operate. Kiki Burton shared thisI had such a blast talking about all things martech with my friend Patrick Moran on his podcast. We could have a talked about this topic for days, but he did a great job condensing it down to just a single episode. Brandon Gerena, glad you enjoyed it!Kiki Burton shared thisOne of my favorite podcast episodes this summer was with Kiki Burton as the guest on Finding Market Fit (https://lnkd.in/emQkafKk) with Patrick Moran. During her interview, Kiki talks about the 3 phases of hyper-growth: 1. Strong Product Market Fit 2. Building Channel Expertise 3. Diversify Product Line She suggests introducing a CDP during phase 2—pulling in new data sources, creating segments and connecting to marketing channels. This provides the necessary ROI to fuel momentum into phase 3, where everything is measured, all data is centralized and consistently tied into product actions. This episode is well worth a listen for anyone grappling with when and how to introduce a CDP into their marketing stack, along with powerful strategies for funnel management, lifecycle campaigns and B2B growth. #MarketingStrategy #CDP #MarketingFunnel #B2B #Dashboard #Lifecycle #MarketingPerformance #HyperGrowthBuilding Marketing Ops and Martech at Plaid | Kiki Burton (Plaid, Credit Karma, Adobe)Building Marketing Ops and Martech at Plaid | Kiki Burton (Plaid, Credit Karma, Adobe)

We don’t just migrate platforms ~ we triage brands in distress. By the time clients come to us, it’s rarely about switching platforms for fun. It’s the checkout that crashes on mobile, the SEO that never rebounds, the dev who disappears mid-build. That’s why migrations need to be strategic, not just technical. This post walks through how we prep for a switch that doesn’t just solve a pain point, but unlocks long-term growth. 💡The CMO’s Tech Stack: What Tools Matter, and What’s Just Noise? If you’re a young marketer today, chances are you’ve been overwhelmed by the avalanche of tools promising to 10x your performance. From CRMs to CDPs, from heatmaps to headline analyzers, everyone’s building stacks, but few are asking the right questions. Let’s face it, more tools don’t make better marketers. Better thinking does. Here’s what modern CMOs actually focus on when it comes to tech: 1. Outcome > Hype: Does the tool solve a real marketing bottleneck or is it just the next shiny thing on Product Hunt? 2. Integration > Isolation: Can your tools talk to each other or are they creating silos in the name of automation? 3. ROI > Vanity: Are you measuring the business impact of your stack or just building dashboards that look good in screenshots? 4. Team Fit > Trend Fit: Does your team actually know how to use this tool, or are they just checking boxes? At the CMO Fellowship, we go beyond toolkits, we train you to think like a modern-day marketing leader.🚀 Our program is designed to help undergrads understand: -How the best CMOs build and audit tech stacks -Which tools matter across brand, performance, retention, and ops -How to separate value-adding platforms from nice-to-haves -How to think strategically, not just tactically, about tools Applications for our next cohort are now open: https://lnkd.in/dPVGc8Vn #CMOFellowship #MarketingCareers #MarketingTech #CMO #MarketingStrategy

Friction isn’t a UX problem. It’s a revenue problem. At MikMak’s Commerce Growth Summit, Ben Galvin (Monster Energy) broke down what brands are seeing in real time: the moment between discovery and purchase is where conversion dies. If consumers can’t quickly answer: “Where do I get it?” “Is it in stock?” “Can I get it now?” … they move on. This clip is the simplest explanation of why “instant” matters more than ever. Top 3 Data Integration Pitfalls in MarTech (And How to Fix Them) Last week, we discussed how fragmented customer data is costing marketers up to 40% of their budgets. From siloed tools to inconsistent tagging, it's clear many teams are struggling with the same issues. Building on that, here are the Top 3 Data Integration Pitfalls we've seen (and quick fixes using integrated Tag Management + CDP like Ingest Labs): Siloed Data Sources: Marketing tools don't talk to each other, leading to incomplete customer views. Fix: Implement a unified CDP to centralize data flows – we've helped clients boost ROI by 25% this way. Inaccurate Tagging: Manual tags cause errors and compliance risks. Fix: Automate with smart Tag Management for real-time accuracy and scalability. Lack of Visibility: Hidden data gaps mean missed personalization opportunities. Fix: Use analytics dashboards in your MarTech stack for full transparency. What's YOUR biggest pitfall right now? Comment below – we'll reply with tailored tips! I’m incredibly excited to announce the latest Intuit Mailchimp product release! Our focus was simple: equipping retailers with the tools they need now to drive maximum revenue during the most critical time of year. The new features help our customers personalize with more precision, move faster, and measure the tangible business impact of every campaign. Some of the key product highlights built for the modern ecommerce marketer: - Global SMS with Multi-Audience Control: Retailers can send personalized SMS campaigns across multiple countries (US, UK, Australia, Europe) from a single Mailchimp account, all while tracking performance in a unified dashboard. - Smarter Segmentation & Behavioral Triggers: Our updated Shopify integration unlocks rich behavioral data—like page viewed, search submitted, and product viewed—turning these insights into powerful, revenue-driving triggers. - Audience Analytics: We’ve made it easier to identify top-converting segments with an improved UI and growth tracking, helping marketers optimize campaigns faster and measure ROI in real-time. - Holiday-Ready Assets: New seasonal email templates and automation flow templates make it simple to build beautiful, on-brand campaigns quickly, especially critical as 43% of shoppers made a purchase tied to an early holiday moment. When marketers can quickly and accurately turn data into action, they unlock new ways to serve existing customers and acquire new ones. That’s the power of the Intuit platform! https://lnkd.in/g3cpdAaT

Most marketing teams pour everything into acquisition. The most profitable brands pour effort into what happens after checkout. Once a customer initiates purchase, the real leverage begins — continuity, upsells, and lifetime value. A 33% continuity conversion rate isn’t a tactic. It’s a growth multiplier. If your backend isn’t engineered for profit, no amount of traffic will save you. Where is your team spending its optimization time — front end or revenue engine?

Design cycles are killing your speed. 🚀 Ever tried to update a pitch deck the night before a meeting? Or spent hours wrangling a one-pager just for the client’s brand consistency? Most GTM teams are stuck waiting days for designers, or worse…sending out half-baked docs that don’t represent them. But that’s not how high-growth teams win. Imagine dropping your idea - or even a messy old deck - into an AI platform, and out comes a clean, on-brand PDF. Instantly. No generic templates. No fighting with formatting. No “can you just update the logo?” emails. This is how fast teams move now. They generate, edit, and polish sales collateral in minutes, not weeks. Because in go-to-market, the fastest team doesn’t just win more…they always win. Are you still manually wrestling with your docs to be perfect, or shipping them? ReadyBase

Most teams don't struggle with speed anymore. They struggle with building the right things. That's exactly where my brother thrives. He's a Principal Product Designer who brings real product thinking into design. The kind of person who helps teams cut through complexity and focus on what matters. Most startups don’t have a marketing problem. They have a product-market-fit problem. Udi Ledergor (Gong’s first marketer, now Chief Evangelist) joins Josh Schachter and Lauren Olerich to break down what actually matters when you’re building a brand and trying to create (or evolve) a category. In this episode: • The real indicators of product-market-fit • When you should hire your first marketer (and when you absolutely shouldn’t) • How Gong evolved from conversation intelligence → revenue intelligence → AI operating system • Why “brand as person” is the consistency cheat code • Why leaving raving fans > chasing titles If you’re building a category, a content engine, or a team that needs to stand out in a crowded market — this one’s a masterclass. 🎧 Listen or watch here 👉 https://bit.ly/46zU9cN

The Math Behind Belief Every $1 spent on activation returns $7 in retention. Retention isn’t magic; it’s math. Each improved onboarding milestone compounds lifetime value. The earlier a user sees value, the longer they stay to multiply it. That’s why activation is the highest ROI lever in SaaS, and the least optimized. Don’t chase CAC. Reduce “time-to-belief.” Bayrus Tip: Measure activation ROI, not just MRR. Growth compounds where users stay. #LTVGrowth #SaaSMetrics #CustomerSuccess #ActivationROI #BayrusConsultancy

You’ve built the email flows, spun up social, lined up webinars. Yet, there’s still a gap in your GTM. Here’s what keeps surfacing at Product Marketing Alliance: most product marketers are sleeping on one of the most powerful GTM channels out there. Podcasting. And yes, it’s costing real connection with customers. Think about it. Where else do you get 30 minutes of your ideal customer’s undivided attention? Where else do people invite your voice into their daily routines by choice? Not many places. Podcasting brings something special to the table: • Long-form stories that build deep trust • Direct access to niche, highly engaged audiences • Evergreen content that keeps working for you • Honest conversations that show (not just tell) your expertise • Lower noise compared to crowded digital channels You don’t need fancy gear or a huge following to start. What you DO need? A clear point of view, real curiosity about your customers’ struggles, and the willingness to show up again and again. Curious what this could look like for you? Try this: listen to a few podcasts in your space. Notice what hooks you, what feels authentic, what keeps you coming back. Then ask yourself, what conversations could you be leading? When did you realize a new channel was the missing piece in your GTM? Ever tried podcasting (or thinking about it now)? Share your stories or questions below – we’d love to hear what’s working for you. Read Bianca Stanescu, MCIM’s article for more: https://lnkd.in/eRChru4h

Thrilled to be speaking at Product Marketing Alliance's Launch event in Silicon Valley today with my colleague Christopher Marin on AI-powered marketing that actually moves the needle. We're sharing how we've moved from AI-as-tool to AI-first at Inovalon—from rapidly scaling our entire messaging approach using Emma Stratton's "Make it Punchy" framework to building agentic systems for opportunity scoring and sales enablement. The reality: AI works best when humans bring the empathy, creativity, and strategic thinking. We've seen this drive real results - from leading indicators of success such as improved email CTR and stronger pipeline generation to stories that actually resonate because it puts customers at the center as the hero. If you're at the event, come say hello 👋. If you're not you can watch us here at 9:45am PT: https://lnkd.in/gmeKniZG #productmarketing #PMA #silliconvalley
