Stephanie Brown's story is about fighting back against your abusers and being able to forge a new path forwards afterwards. That's the point, in case any of you missed that
Steph's biggest desire is to be seen as equal and Tim is who she craves that from the most. She's incredibly insecure and so the idea of him disregarding her being her biggest fear is super heartbreaking
I can't imagine reading War Games month to month, realising issue by issue that this scared child they're abusing isn't going to make it. Stephanie Brown was failed by a lot of people, but never by people like Matt.
Also that's an evil fucking response Jesus Christ.
It just hasn't been though, characters like Cass are more relevant than they have been in decades and should be celebrated as such. It's the kind of fan who only enjoys the "Batboys" that makes existing in this space less fun for everyone else
A Stephanie Brown who's been through everything. Her assault, the baby, Robin, War Games, Batman's manipulation. She's moved on, she's ready to start fresh.
But when she sits down to play the piano again, she can't. Her life fighting crime has left her fingers too hurt to play.
