True story. I had a group of women show me what happened to them in Halo 2 because of proximity chat, we cut it from Halo 3 the next day.

You aren’t supposed to be able to take the Warthog up to steamroll the Hunters. I intentionally placed rocks in the way so you had to fight them on foot. When you can just smash the crates out of the way it wrecks the encounters. But the worst part? They put trees in the landing

One of my favorite aspects of the Covenant weapon design for the original Halo is that they are NOT GUNS. The Covenant were scavengers, they would loot Forerunner installations and repurpose the technology to expand their empire. You take a Forerunner MRI component or portable

“It” meaning proximity chat. The behavior is virtually impossible to fix. One-off muting or bans is fighting a flood with a shot glass. I’m hopeful AI can be trained to screen it out.

For me, this was the moment when Halo went from being a War Story with futuristic elements to a Sci-fi Superhero Story. It’s an impossible shot. The camera flies around and through objects, time speeds up and slows down at random, the camera anticipates events that are scripted

Pretty sure the VFX team looked at that bubble shield and thought it was very cool and went back and redid the in-game effects to match it.

“That’s what the mute button is for, idiot!” You do not understand the scale of the issue. Things are somewhat better now, but if the lobby found out you were female (or black or gay or under 15) you would wear out your mute button before Live ran out of assholes. At some point

Yes, everybody, I know you can FORCE the Warthog through the gap in a variety of ways. I literally spent most of a day making it discouraging and difficult but not impossible. You’re welcome! 😆
