- A savvy head coach and his top lieutenants after bringing home the first ever boys championship in any sport to their community. Mamma Mia! What a game!!!
- I can not thank these two enough for coming on the halftime show of AG vs Wahoo game. Just….Great…Kids. Sorry, you guys are still kids to us old folk. And we broke news when we found out why Bergen lost to Cale when playing HORSE. @calejacobsen_
- AG’s Max Parker found me after the team celebration and gave me a big hug. Max- that meant much to this old broadcaster. This kid’s my hero and his 6- count ‘em - 6! blocked shots went a long way to helping AG secure the win today. Gonna miss this kid’s pure love of the game.

- After the win, I got a bear hug from Ron Mohs, Jake’s father. He was teary eyed and happily emotional. It made me think of all those years Ron spent coaching his boys, long car rides to tourneys, practices, wins, losses, life’s lessons. Here’s to Ron and to all those who played a
- Oh Gym Rat- I needed to read the Omaha World Herald first this morning- as Cale is 1st Team Super State in that publication!!! Joining the likes of Jason Green, Isaac Traudt, Josiah Dotzler and Jayden Dawson. Congrats @calejacobsen_
- Ever wonder what it would have been like to watch Picasso paint a portrait? I got a front row seat to the hoops equivalent to that as Jacobsen was masterful- 13-17 from the field, 3-3 from 3, 14-14 from the line. Broke CJ Cowgill’s record of 41 set in 96.
- Ceremony for Cale Jacobsen achieving 1,000 points. He stands alongside Brian Pike, Tyler Craven and Roger Barber, who are also 1,000 point scorers. Not able to attend was Matt Johnson.
