For seven years, we've worked to ensure that anyone arrested exercising their right to protest can make bail and afford lawyers. We've helped hundreds of Atlantans through every step of the process.

- Last night, Atlanta leadership followed Governor Kemp in calling protesters "terrorists". What started as a right-wing talking point from a Republican governor is now being parroted by the city. [thread]
- GBI claims "there is no body camera footage of the incident" where police shot and killed a protester. They refuse to release the name of the killer. Their story of the events has changed significantly. How can they expect any trust from the public? wabe.org/7-charged-with…
- Update: The three Solidarity Fund organizers arrested Weds. had their first appearance in court today, and were each granted a bond set at $15,000. Reading the warrants, the Judge remarked: "I don't find it really impressive -- there's not a lot of meat on these bones." [1/3]
- Every protester charged with "domestic terrorism" has been denied bond. The warrants produced by the police contain obvious inaccuracies and generalizations, but the judge declined to even consider arguments about lack of evidence which defense attorneys tried to raise.
- This morning Georgia State Patrol officers killed a protester in the South Atlanta Forest. GSP's story is suspect, they have released few details. We are concerned a police coverup could be underway. We are preparing a legal team to investigate and pursue a wrongful death suit.
- Replying to @ATLSolFundThis morning, three SolFund organizers were arrested in an attempt to cut off protestors from legal aid. We remain unafraid and stand strong in fighting to protect civil liberties. Donate to the National Bail Fund Network to help us back on our feet: bit.ly/supportatlsolf…
- Calling all legal researchers, law students, public interest law firms. We need your help investigating and responding to the unprecedented and unconstitutional legal strategy police and prosecutors are pursuing against protesters in Atlanta.
- When police brought terrorism charges against Stop Cop City protesters, they justified it by claiming that "Defend the Atlanta Forest" had been designated a "domestic violent extremist organization". This was a lie. DHS never designated any movement-aligned org in any way. 1/3
- The official police statement carefully implies that the arrests they made were at the Cop City construction site. This did not happen. Police raided a music festival over a mile away. All the supposed "domestic terrorism" arrests were made indiscriminately at that festival.
- This is the protester who was killed by Georgia State Patrol yesterday morning. Thanks to Tortuguita's community for publishing this. Don't let the police demonize the people they kill.
- There is no lawbreaking happening here. The police are using their power not to enforce the law, but to intimidate political activists because of the specific cause they're advocating. This should not happen in a democratic society.A group of around 15 people are handing out Stop Cop City flyers across downtown Atlanta. Police have responded with over 50 cops and SWAT.
- As we've long expected, the State of Georgia today issued a RICO indictment against 60+ activists and others in their latest attempt at shutting down the right to protest in Atlanta. Three Solidarity Fund organizers are included in this indictment. [thread]
- The #StopCopCity tree sitters arrested yesterday are being charged with "Domestic Terrorism". But did these protesters actually do anything terroristic? Turns out state terrorism legislation is so broad it can be used against almost any social movement... [thread]
