- An AbbyPD member moments ago conducted a water rescue within the Sumas Prairie. A veh over turned, trapping the driver in a water filled ditch. Water was filling the veh when the AbbyPD officer swam in and successfully pulled the driver to safety. No serious injuries to driver

- Late yesterday afternoon another feed truck was able to make it through in the eastern Sumas prairie area. The water levels are still high in many areas, but the truck proceeded through about 18" of water. Thanks to all that made this possible. #strengthincommunity

- This morning Fire Chief Lee told a story to the media of a service dog being rescued from Sumas Prairie by Firefighters Tuesday night. Bowser, although cold and wet was reunited with his handler. We're happy we could help.
- URGENT PLEA: Within the last hour the water level within the eastern part of the Sumas Prairie is beginning to rise. Roadways that were dry an hour ago, now have flowing water. We are seeing people not respecting barriers and police direction causing public safety concerns.

- At 6am this morning, one of our patrol officers noticed a vehicle struggling to maintain its lane. The officer conducted a vehicle stop to check sobriety and found that the 45-year-old Class 1 driver was impaired by alcohol.
