Exciting news! The Federal Court has agreed to LAG's intervention in the Giggle v Tickle case in August. We get another chance to argue that men cannot be lesbians.

Our submission for our intervention into the Giggle vs Tickle case has now gone in. Not surprisingly, we will be arguing that men cannot be lesbians. See you in Sydney in August.

OK. So here we go again. At the eleventh hour we decided to appeal the dreadful decision by the AHRC to deny lesbians the right to gather publicly without the presence of men who say they are lesbians too. Watch this space.

The waiting is over. As expected, but it is still a kick in the guts, the AHRC has rejected our application for an exemption to run a lesbian only event. Their rejection will be up on their website shortly.

It was actually quite fun today. It's not every day you get to say in a legal setting all the things we know to be true, and have official people have to listen to you without shouting you down or throwing eggs at you. I said it in court... men cannot be lesbians. More tomorrow.

So the tribunal hearing is over now. It will take 3 months for the decision to be handed down. We wait to see if lesbians can meet in Australia without having to let men join them. Anyone's guess at this stage. Our arguments were great, but still the law, and AHRC, is against us.

Day 3 in court was a relief. Whatever the outcome, at least we heard some plain sense language from our wonderful barrister Leigh Howard. Sex means biological sex.
