My friends and I received thousands of hateful and threatening comments, but this didn't seem to bother @Docstockk who thanked and declared her love to the "wonderful" bunch who defend her online. Well, this dangerous hate campaign has resulted in me getting a death threat today.

This is, for me, the most fundamental problem with the Cass review. It starts with a preconceived, transphobic notion that transition is a terrible epidemic. Transitioning is a wonderful, beautiful, and joyful process, and there is no reason to institutionally decry it like this.

Today's the day! We are determined, despite the pile-ons and violent threats we received, to exercise our right to protest, ina joyful celebration of trans joy. We will not shut down the event - free speech is not at stake here; we will, however, stand up to intolerance and hate.

The transphobs try to paint Stock, with her academic position, mass following, and best-selling book, as a victim; and us, an independent society representing a persecuted minority, as assailants. But when it comes down to it, we are the ones who now need to "watch our back".

Stock aspires to have an image of a polite, respected academic, and not a hateful TERF. But have a look at the reactions to this statement, incited by her tweet - it is pure hate, threats, homophobia, and transphobia, including attempts to personally target and dox me.

This has been reported to the police. I see some who echo the the letter, equating it to our statement on Stock; I'll just say - look at the date, it was written in response to Oxford Trans+ Pride, a celebration of trans lives & joy. This is what they hate
