    I am pleased to share that today I presented my credentials to UNSG as the Permanent Rep of Afg. I humbled & honored that I could celebrate IntWomansDay with becoming the 1st female PR for Afg to serve at the @AfghanMissionUN @UN.

    Today truly concludes my work & provides the final legacy as the Amb/PR of AFG to the @UN. I was pleased to make AFG’s official gift to the UN possible – “the Unseen Afghanistan.” It is the only gift on display & the 1st since 1963, when a table w/ lapis inlay was gifted.

    It has been beyond an honor to serve as Afghanistan’s Ambassador & Permanent Representative to the @UN. I have officially ended my assignment here in NY @UN & will be starting my new post as Afghanistan’s Ambassador to the US @Embassy_of_AFG shortly. (1)

    We are pleased to announce AFG's historic win on the election of Members of the UN Commission on Status of Women (@UN_CSW) for the term 2021-2025. Despite AFG being a member of the UN since 1946, this will be the first time AFG will occupy a seat on this important commission.

    I’m speechless & don’t know how to speak to a mother who lost her 17yrs old son, killed by the Taliban. On the 1st day of Nawrooz millions celebrate the arrival of spring & new year, but our family mourns the loss of Hikmat Jan. @MatinBek prayers are with you & please stay strong
