Exciting news! The first baby eastern black rhino was born to one of the rhinos relocated from European zoos. This adorable calf is the first successful birth since the relocation of these zoo rhinos to #Akagera in 2019. It's thriving and doing great in its new environment.

As the only protected savannah environment in the country, Akagera is unique to Rwanda. In 2010, @AfricanParks assumed management of Akagera in partnership with the @RDBrwanda shifting the park's trajectory from one of oblivion to prosperity.
