    The obsession with 'live' lessons is a red herring. There'is no evidence live lessons are better than recorded (bit.ly/3ddiXch). Indeed, recorded can be more flexible & used again; feedback more personalised etc. The notion live lessons replicate the classroom is false.

    *THREAD on Working Memory* Understanding ‘working memory’ is a valuable concept for teachers (& more) to inform them about how children learn. Put very simply, it’s the ability to retain things in your head at once. This thread shares some useful & free sources & resources... /1

    Uncomfortable truth: to really address teacher workload issues you simply have to look at contact time/PPA. But if you reduce contact time/increase PPA you need many more teachers teaching...during a worsening recruitment crisis. And you need lots of money to pay for both.
