- An altered photo claiming to show the judge who approved the Mar-a-Lago search warrant with Ghislaine Maxwell has been shared online in recent days and appeared on Fox News last night. The real photo features Jeffrey Epstein, not Bruce Reinhart.
- A completely false claim that Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs was indicted by state lawmakers amassed thousands of shares online yesterday. She wasn't, and indictments are handed up by grand juries, not legislative bodies. By @philmarcelo
- Be wary of vague posts identifying people as combat heroes. They can be propaganda narratives with ulterior motives. For example: A Ukrainian trauma doctor was hailed as a hero for blowing up 52 Russian tanks. But she didn't do that. I talked to her mom.
- That video claiming to show Walmart's current vision for grocery shopping in the metaverse? It doesn't. The video was a demonstration for SXSW in 2017, and doesn't reflect the company's current plans. @arijetalajka reports:
