I never have nor will do NFT's, I did this instead, as a sort of protest when it was kicking off. You can download my favorite images, you can print them and hang them on your wall. drive.google.com/drive/folders/… And you can pay whatever you feel it's worth💚: buymeacoffee.com/angrytheinch

This is how the aurora moves. Filmed in real-time, overhead one winter night. Not sped up, not slowed down. What you see is what my eyes saw. 😍 I bet many of you, after this weekend, have a newfound understanding of why we stay out all night in -35°C!

When you're driving down the road in the middle of nowhere and this happens, you stop the damn car!

Polar night officially begins today. The sun will now remain below the horizon 24/7 for a few weeks. This does not mean total darkness, it means the most gorgeous hours long sunless sunrise/sunsets. Unreal pinks and blues. But also darkness. A lot of darkness..

Few pics from this morning's walk. I go down that street daily and am always amazed by how beautiful it is. 😍

I'll just leave this here and go to bed now. :) The Milky Way and aurora plus a few satellites. I've never seen the Milky Way so brilliantly bright before! 😍

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, light set off on an epic journey. Travelling through the vastness of space for 2,5 million years before eventually, one dark starry night, colliding with your eyes. Letting you see an image of what it was all that time ago.

Another shot of last night's light pillars. Click to see full width. It really is spectacular being in the middle of something like this. You almost expect to be beamed up. Light pillars happen when light from streetlights reflect on tiny ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere.

The first panorama I ever shot. I chose this arctic nightscape as my scene because why on earth wouldn't I!? The Milky Way, Andromeda Galaxy, Venus, airglow, Pleiades, Zodiacal light (sunlight scattered by interplanetary dust), aurora and an iridium flare. :)

It's been amazing seeing all the posts from last night. So many people seeing the aurora for the first time, apart but still together. It's heartwarming and once again space twitter has shown it's the place to be. ❤️ What was your experience like?

The most insane light pillars I've seen in a long time! Shot an hour ago. Felt like being in the middle of an alien invasion. 😍 These are caused by light from streetlights etc. reflecting on tiny ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere. The moon on the right. @ProfBrianCox

This is probably my favorite shot of 2017. :) The Milky Way stretching across the sky, Venus shining bright, the Andromeda galaxy, Pleiades, weak aurora, airglow and the snowy frozen river. ❤ @VirtualAstro @SPACEdotcom @ProfBrianCox
