    The story of a girl who wanted to go to school and drive a scooty but is now in ICU Boy’s mom: I told him to stop following her but he didn’t listen. Police: The boy told us he won’t harass her so we let him go (we will also tell media they were friends so that she gets blamed)

    For the middle-aged man in India — sedentary, no contribution to household work, so lots of time on his hands — war is indeed a spectator sport. TV news the whole day tells him half-truths, and Modi-bhakti does the rest. From hospital reception areas to offices, a bloodlust.

    War is not a spectator sport. My dad was part of the Kargil War and I vividly remember how I felt (very similar to the 100s of other children & families who were in this situation too where this was not an abstract thing but very real) It is pretty easy to sit within the

    Women pay a price if they stay at home (unpaid care-giver to all members of family), and a price if they go to work. India has a long way to go in creating an equitable society.

    Ever since the #BhimaKoregaon activists’ arrest, police confiscates mobile phones before arrest or at the time of ‘raid’. Who gave them this right? Detailed Washington Post and Financial Times’ reporting has shown how stuff can be — and was — planted on mobiles and laptops. 1/2
