    Her Majesty #TheQueen arrived in #Edinburgh this afternoon for #RoyalWeek & was welcomed at The Ceremony of The Keys in #Holyroodhouse by F Coy @scots_guards & their Pipes and Drums as the Guard of Honour, and music by @SCOTSband. She was accompanied by Maj Gen @AlastairBruce_

    At Edinburgh Castle, the British Army marked the first anniversary of His Majesty The King’s accession to the throne with a traditional gun salute. At 12 noon @105RegtRA fired a 21 Gun Salute, supported by @scotsband.

    The Army in Scotland today bid a fond farewell to Major General Alastair Bruce of Crionaich OBE DL VR as he went out with a ‘bang’ firing the iconic One O’clock Gun and taking his final Salute, as Governor of Edinburgh Castle. Although the Royal Gun Salute, at Edinburgh Castle
    A gun fires during the salute, it has smoke and fire coming out of the barrel.

    His Majesty The King presented the New Ballater Colour to the Royal Guard, BKA Coy @The_SCOTS. The Ballater Colour is a ceremonial Colour, carried by the Royal Guard during Summer Court in Balmoral. In attendance was General Officer Scotland and Commander 51 Infantry Brigade.
