- can i say something my grandma fell in front of her local HMart & fellow Asians kept walking past her for 15 min. She was alone, arm reaching out to ppl & they ignored her. If you have a good relationship w your fam, talk to them about empathy. The new generation has to do it.
- I don’t talk to my dad much bc my Japanese has gotten so bad over the years. But today he needed me. It’s incredible how much a language comes back to u when u need to comfort someone. I was speaking words I didn’t know I knew. Or not, & he just heard mumble jumbles as he cried
- This was Malaysia today. Hope they’re getting LIT 😭 #Oscars
- My husband only knows one word in Mandarin & it’s “child” cause it’s what he & my Grandma call each other lovingly. Two days ago while on the plane, two Mandarin speaking kids kept kicking the back of Grandma’s chair so my husband busted out the word then a “SHH!” & they stopped
