I am now in the hospital with some injuries and fractures, but will be fine. Most of all super disappointed after best race of my career.

- Back from hospital Wollongong (super support there🙏!). Stable fracture elbow, no surgery needed. I am allowed to ride my bike, but depends on pain and needs to be sensible. Hope I can sleep. At least I can already laugh about this picture 🤣😉⬇️
- Waking up like this 🌈 and then realising what happened yesterday. 😁 I worked so hard for this and my dream did come true. 🤗
- 40h later ⬇️! Doctors @Rijnstate advised to start to walk and use the amount of pain as a guideline. I started y'day with 3 steps, today already meters! From advise in Roubaix hospital to stay 3 weeks horizontal in bed... to this! Off season looks way better now! 😎
00:00 - Operation done. Everything fixed again: no bones flying around in my knee anymore 😉. My leg will be in a brace for at least 4 weeks. No bending of my knee, no walking, etc, so the bones can grow together again.

- Not a 2022 happy end for me. Stupid crash. Just wanted to go to the finish safe... Result is broken pubic bone in 2 places and a long recovery staying in bed coming up. Bye bye holiday. Bye bye recharging. I have done this more often but energy is running out.
