1/9. The last 18-hrs have seen headlines appearing in print & online leading on the first paramedic on scene at the Manchester bombing not treating anyone. Many from the pre-hospital & amb world have rightly challenged these headlines, this is exactly what is supposed to happen

Many congratulations to Professor Alison Leary @alisonleary1 on her appointment as MBE for services to Spectator Safety and Medical Care at @MillwallFC. Alison is the medical coordinator for the crowd medical services at the club which is a @BASICS_HQ scheme.

It is with great sadness that we heard tonight of the death after a short illness of @BASICS_HQ & @liveshq stalwart Tim Nuttall. Tim was a regular mbr of our teaching faculties & past educational facilitator. Our thoughts are with his wife Kiki, his friends & his family.

#FEMinPHEM #FEMinPHARM Dr Priscilla Noble-Matthews was a Sussex GP who practiced prehospital care well into her 80s. A firm favourite with her #999 colleagues she died late last year. Remembered with great fondness by many of todays practitioners.

Occassional we need to blow our own trumpet . . . All through covid our members have continued to provide pre-hospital care across a range of employment & #voluntary settings. Particular mention must go to our affiliated schemes who despite a ⬇️ in funds maintain their services.
