Watching Liz Truss at the cenotaph and it occurs she’s got like 50 years ahead of her attending state events as Former Prime Minister, a permanent reminder of the thing where she blew up her one shot at the top in 50 days flat. It’s like some kind of punishment from a Greek myth

One of my favourite parts of a cabinet reshuffle has arrived: the official portraits on the ScotGov flickr account for both happy and sad news releases, where ministers have had to look both delighted and quietly furious about their new jobs in quick succession...

There probably won’t be a minute’s applause for local authority refuse collection and grounds maintenance staff, but they are doing an absolute power of work at the moment. Saw one chap picking broken glass out of the grass this morning

Have to feel that tweeting along with the #ITVdebate when you've refused to take part in it looks just a little bit daft...

Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross says "clearly there was a party of some kind", and that if Boris Johnson knew about it last year/last week and was still denying it in parly, he would have to resign. "No-one should continue in their post if they mislead parliament in that way."

Following tonight's publications the Scottish Conservatives are to submit a motion of no confidence in First Minister Nicola Sturgeon; they say there is "no longer any doubt that she lied to the Scottish Parliament and broke the ministerial code on numerous counts"

Jackie Baillie asks Alex Salmond if the name of a complainer was shared with his former chief of staff while a meeting between him & Nicola Sturgeon was being set up - he says yes, and that "three other people know that to be true". Ms Sturgeon denied this happened at FMQs y'day.

Ruth Davidson's return to FMQs: she says Nicola Sturgeon's loyalty to John Swinney is nice, but her loyalty should be to parents and pupils who deserve a new education secretary. FM replies that she's "not sure loyalty to colleagues is a strong suit for Ruth Davidson"

So you’ve done a deal with the EU but you’re struggling to get the DUP to sign off on it, aye?
