Worth saying that Oz trade deal is estimated to add 0.02% of UK GDP in 15 years time while govts own estimates of leaving EU single market will reduce UK GDP by 4% over same time period. you’d need 2000 Australias to offset impact. These are govts own figures not mine.

Genuine question. Doesn’t fracking only make sense if its nationalised? Otherwise it’s just a bit more gas in an expensive international market?

The information on which we based our reporting on Nigel Farage and his bank accounts came from a trusted and senior source. However the information turned out to be incomplete and inaccurate. Therefore I would like to apologise to Mr Farage.

Thank you to the Coutts customers who have been in touch saying they fall below financial thresholds but unlike Farage have not been threatened with account closure. Clearly a lot of discretion available to the bank.

Interesting on page 63 of the OBR book - "since 2019 the UK appears to have become a less trade intensive economy with trade as % of GDP falling 12% since 2019 - two and a half times more than any other G7 country".

Supermarket exec tells me Matt Hancock has “totally made up what he said about working with supermarkets. We haven’t heard anything from govt directly.” Adds - teams are having to work “round the clock” to keep shelves stocked. Tinned goods, pasta sales “through the roof”

Nigel Green, CEO oof deVere Group abandons property investment in Uk

“Understandably, lenders are suspending mortgage offers and, in turn, we’re now suspending our property investment division. The Chancellor and PM Liz Truss have recklessly gambled with the UK economy.

no deal Brexit will annihilate UK farmers and fishing fleets. former cabinet secretary told me -“nothing is forever”. It’s a matter of fact that 70% of fish caught in UK waters is sold to EU and 70% of fish consumed in UK is from Norway/Iceland waters. Complicated for 0.1% of GDP
