    COVID-19 patient Khurram Khan, from Bradford, has got the best birthday present he could wish for – going home from hospital with his family after spending almost three weeks in ICU at BRI, one week of which he was in a coma on a ventilator. #COVID #survivor

    Today, the first #COVID19 ward at #Bradford Royal Infirmary, Ward 31, has been open for exactly a year. During a commemoration event, we remembered the patients who sadly lost their lives and paid tribute to the staff who have worked on the ward throughout the pandemic. 💙

    Here's another success story from @BTHFT! Grandmother-of-three Paula McCarten, 57, a prison nurse, left BRI today after battling #Covid19 for 135 days. Pauline, filmed with her three sons, spent 98 days in ICU and is believed to be one of the UK's longest Covid patients. 💙
