- Spotted this patch on one of the officers at this morning’s presser. Google tells me this is a motto popular among police, a fuller version of which is “I may walk among the sheep, but make no mistake, I am the sheepdog.” The sheep being civilians, presumably.
- Replying to @BenSpurrBut this one's the clincher. The woman on the left has three arms!! Looks very much like the campaign used AI to generate these. The tech still isn't perfect, it seems.
- When Umar Zameer was granted bail, the most powerful politicians in this city used their positions to criticize the decision. Premier Ford posted a message saying it was “unacceptable that the the person responsible for this heinous crime is now out on bail.”
- Classic TO scene. Brand new University bike lanes, built by the city at some expense, wholly occupied by what appears to be a city contracted truck forcing riders into busy traffic. The guy behind the wheel was on his phone, of course. You’d almost be disappointed if be wasn’t.
- I'm grateful for all the people sharing personal stories today. But I don't think I'll ever not be shocked by how successfully a giant telecom has been able to slap its brand on, and profit from, public conversations about mental health.
- Breaking: Premier Ford says he has accepted Rod Phillips resignation as minister of finance.

- York South-Weston Liberal candidate Nadia Guerrera responds to Michael Ford entering the race: "The voters in York South-Weston are not looking for a second Ford at Queen's Park, they want the one already there gone."
- Josh Matlow, who has been frozen out of successive right-leaning administrations at city hall, tells CBC he has a "warm and friendly relationship" with mayor-elect Olivia Chow. "I look forward to helping her any way I can."

- TTC says provincial announcement today that vaccine passport system will end March 1 won't affect transit agency's requirement that workers have their shots. "The TTC’s Mandatory Vaccination Policy is still in effect and will remain in place past March 1."
