    BREAKING: The 1st patient dosed with VX-880—a stem cell therapy to treat Type 1 diabetes—has experienced a 91% decrease in their daily insulin doses after 90 days. These are preliminary findings in an early clinical trial. They're also very exciting.

    Beyond Type 1 is saddened by the unexpected passing of our president and CEO, Thom Scher. He was a charismatic colleague, mentor, and friend to all of us. We will honor Thom’s memory by continuing the important work he championed on behalf of all those living with diabetes.
