- Some personal news: My company has offered a buyout, i've taken it. my last day is july 6 and i will, at age 65, wander into retirement. I've done this a long time, and i'll miss it. but it's time. i thank anyone -- deeply -- who took the time to ready my stories along the way.
- Here's something: When Cheryl Reeve got back to her room tonight, a bottle of champagne was waiting for her. congrats on coach of the year, the note said. It was from Wolves coach Ryan Saunders.
- The Lynx are heading to Washington, D.C. a day early so they can celebrate their 2017 WNBA title in the nation's capital by..... going to an elementary school and giving away shoes. Who needs the White House?
- Lost our dad last night. Dick Youngblood was a lifelong newspaperman, reporter, editor, columnist for the Star Tribune and a teacher at St. Thomas. A loving dad and grandpa. My friend.

- There is a good chance Napheesa Collier will fulfill her wish of playing with Sylvia Fowles before Fowles career ends. Collier has ramped up her workouts and Saturday, for the first time, practiced fully with the team. An appearance Wednesday is not out of the question, per Reeve

- Breaking Lynx news: The WNBA has cleared Kayla McBride to play tonight, according to a league source. She has already had, and recovered, from COVID-19, and has had multiple negative tests since return to Minnesota.
