- Some personal news: My company has offered a buyout, i've taken it. my last day is july 6 and i will, at age 65, wander into retirement. I've done this a long time, and i'll miss it. but it's time. i thank anyone -- deeply -- who took the time to ready my stories along the way.

- Lost our dad last night. Dick Youngblood was a lifelong newspaperman, reporter, editor, columnist for the Star Tribune and a teacher at St. Thomas. A loving dad and grandpa. My friend.
