- As these Games wind down, take time to soak in the greatness of Mike Tirico. Very few can juggle the hamster wheel of insanity that is Olympic studio coverage with encyclopedic historical perspective, subtle humor and a delivery that feels like a Sunday stroll in the park 🥇
- Can't get myself to share Antonio Brown's profanity-laced tirade toward his ex-GF... in front of the cops... and his kids. But the glaring takeaway: I pray for his children, who are probably exposed to this insanity more than any children should ever be. Lord have mercy.
- Kevin Harlan may the least heralded great play by play guy in our industry. First, his voice is amazing. Second, he allocates the right amount of energy to a moment. Not too overblown, not too stoic Third, he cultivates great chemistry w his partners. Harder than you think
- We're seeing the kindest, most heartfelt side of Twitter tonight, in the wake of Damar Hamlin requiring CPR during MNF. But, we're also seeing the worst of Twitter. Hard to believe some can be so cruel and callous. Please lead w love and light. We only get 1 shot at this life.
- All of y'all up in arms about Caitlin Clark not making the US Olympic team, please consider facts: Was she the best player in college? Yes Is she top 12 in the WNBA? Not yet. The Olympics roster isn't a popularity contest, a marketing campaign, or a ratings grab.
- Some perspective: We now have a former grocery store bagger (Kurt Warner) and a guy who nearly left the game to become a pastor (Nick Foles) who have "Super Bowl MVP" on their resumes. Kids: dream big. Anything is possible.
- I've covered Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning... some of the greatest of the greats. Few times I've seen an athlete as dialed in, on "automatic" mode, like Caitlin Clark was today. That was a display for the ages. #Iowa #FinalFourBound #MarchMadness
