- BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER animated series: The show is not cancelled, per sources, just not going to stream on HBO Max. The show is deep in production, nothing is paused. It will show up somewhere.
- JOHN WICK 4 premiere: Guests are encouraged to wear the pin in honor of Lance Reddick who passed away Friday.
- The fables men: Oscar voting began today and Universal threw an A-list star-stuffed celebration at the Sunset Tower. The highlight may have been seeing Steven Spielberg meet #RRR filmmaker SS Rajamouli and composer MM Keeravani. Not sure who was more excited to meet whom.
- WICKED SURPRISE: director Jon M Chu makes a late late appearance at the premiere of his movie after missing the screening due to the birth of his 5th child. Cynthia Erivo rushed to congratulate him as did Marc Platt.
- Interesting: Soon after Mahershala Ali won his GREEN BOOK Oscar, he called Marvel to meet with Kevin Feige. In the meeting he came right out and said he wanted to do Blade, Feige tells THR.
- Guillermo del Toro says comic book, popular art, is equally as important as fine art. "Imagine all we had was classical music. And rock and roll had never been enshrined...This is rock and roll and it needs to be enshrined."
- SHOCKER: James Gunn and Peter Safran to run DC Films, which will now be called DC STUDIOS. Will act as co-CEOs and co-chairs.
- Breaking: In a major career milestone, Jesse Plemons will star in Scorsese's KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON. He takes the leading FBI agent role which was to have been played by Leo DiCaprio but who stepped into a more supporting part.
- Excl w/ @kimmasters: Ice Cube has dropped out of Sony comedy OH HELL NO, which also stars Jack Black, after declining to get vaccinated. He walks away from a $9 million payday in the process.
- No joke excl: LADY GAGA in early talk to play Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix (who still doesn't have a deal to return, btw) in JOKER 2. Which is planned as a MUSICAL.
