- Maybe one of these years, the NCAA will decide to start its national championship game at a more reasonable hour.
- Illinois knocks off Ohio State in Columbus. On a side note, Illini have more Q1 wins now than Auburn, NC State, Washington, TCU, Butler, UCF, Syracuse, Clemson (and others) ... that’s your Field, folks.
- I’ve come to appreciate the First Four, but there will always be something about that Noon game on Thursday that means the tipoff of the NCAA tourney.
- It’s been a surreal 24 hours. But I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has followed along again this college hoops season. Your interactions, comments and interest continue to make the process fun and enjoyable. God Bless!
- This morning's No. 1 seeds: Virginia (East) Purdue (South) Connecticut (Midwest) Texas (West)
- My Last 4 IN heading into tonight: San Diego State Arkansas Indiana Xavier
- For most of my adult life, the opening full day of the NCAA tournament has served as a beacon of spring and the beginning of the greatest three weeks in sports. I am already missing the first tip around 12:15 ET today and the unbridled theatrics of March Madness.
- Last 4 IN (at-large) this morning: San Diego St Vanderbilt Arkansas Xavier
- Before we get to the Selection Show, my annual thank you to everyone who has followed along this season. I appreciate your time, interest and passion. Here’s to a great 2024 NCAA tournament.
- Before the Selection Show, I wanted to pass along my thanks and appreciation to all of you. Your interest and interaction continues to make the process and long hours enjoyable. Enjoy March Madness!
- My Last 4 IN heading into today: Pittsburgh UCF New Mexico Xavier
- My First 4 OUT heading into tonight: Cincinnati Xavier Georgia Boise State
- Connecticut jumps Purdue. Huskies are No. 1 in the NET and own two decisive Q1 road wins. They also currently "look" like the best team in the country.
