The fact UNLV didn't swallow it's pride, like Utah State, and pay their way into the Pac-12 is going to be what prevents them from keeping coaches like Barry Odom. The money in the MWC is going to be similar to that of the Sun Belt. Just a monumental mistake by the Rebels.

The Sam Merrill story is something this state should love to hear. Utah kid, went to a Utah college, won conference titles, became Mr. Irrelevant in the NBA Draft, spent many years in the G League, could've gone overseas, stuck it out, and now is averaging nearly 20 per game.
