(2/3) "I completed my Eagle Scout service project in July and was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout on August 11. For my project, I built air purification units for American Legion Post 802, focusing on providing safe indoor air for disabled veterans."

(3/3) "The units are designed to use either 20 x 20 x 1 or 20 x 20 x 2 MERV13 air filters. Each unit has a sturdy wooden frame and wheels for ease of movement, ensuring that they can be conveniently relocated as needed."

Between @LieslMcconchie and @joaquinlife, over 1,150 air filters have been built and distributed to schools, orgs, mutual aid hubs, and high need individuals. Many people came together to make this happen - volunteer drivers, distributors, builders, and donors. Thank you all!

Michael Bailey with @iaqadvocates (Indoor Air Care Advocates) received a grant to build 12 Corsi-Rosenthal Boxes at the Alabama Asthma Summit to clean the air during the event and to send home with school nurses afterwards. An awesome project we are proud to support!

If anyone has heard that Corsi-Rosenthal Boxes pose a fire hazard, see this analysis by the EPA and Underwriters Laboratory (UL) finding them safe, although people are encouraged to use box fans made after 2012 that have additional safety features:

I was told that CR Boxes were seen as a fire hazard and they could not be used in classrooms. So sadly, we are not allowed to use them now. Not sure who to talk to or how to advocate. Would anyone be able to help? Thanks!
