Tears won’t stop. The rarest of the rare—a melanistic bobcat, only the 12th ever seen in the wild… and it’s gone, taken by a gun. How can we call ourselves stewards of this earth when beauty like this is erased forever?

More context: The bobcat was not shot, but snared. It was already dead by the time the trapper visited the snare, meaning the hunter did not intentionally go out of his way to kill a rare bobcat. This incident happened 9 years ago. cbc.ca/news/canada/ne…

Whale giving birth in False Bay attracted sharks. Dolphins appeared out of nowhere and swam in circles around her keeping sharks away. They stayed with her until she & her baby were safe then escorted her to safety. Video credit David Hersch

He was called Ghost, a magnificent leopard in his prime..shot by trophy hunters waiting for him to approach the bait they set out. A pity Ghost didn't get the smell of the cowardness of those hiding to shoot him.

For these dogs who've endured unimaginable trauma, the kindness of rescuers is a lifeline In times of crisis, it is these compassionate acts that remind us of our shared duty to protect every life, no matter how small or vulnerable Video credit KTXL

This lioness was captive bred in South Africa for the hunting industry, drugged and let loose in an enclosed camp with no escape. Then the lies “financial benefit to a nation.” The only financial benefit was for the hunting safari that pocketed the money. Immoral and unethical.

When it comes to hobby hunting, there are almost no limits to the perversions with animals. Here, live ducks desperately scream in their cages, and their cries for help attract free ducks, who then fly over the territory of captive species to be shot.

How in the world is this still happening in this day and age with all the knowledge that we have. Poor elephant. It is too heavy to pull and not something an elephant is built to do. Shame on you India

In a moving act of courage and compassion, a team of 13-15 forest officials came together to rescue a 600-700 kg rhino calf trapped in a swamp, struggling to escape.
