When they rebuild the Great Southern Stand at the MCG, a stand needs to be named after Shane Warne. He was Australia’s, but he was ours. RIP to a hero and one of a kind. We were so lucky to have him 👑

Pick 3 in the 2001 draft has to be the best selection for any club ever, doesn't it? It netted West Coast 405 games & 850 goals across 21 seasons, including two premierships, one Brownlow, one Norm Smith, two Colemans & nine All-Australians. Josh Kennedy incredible to the end.

Adelaide offered three first-round picks for the No.1 pick last year to take Jason Horne-Francis. The Crows have ended up using those picks on Josh Rachele (No.6 in 2021), Jordan Dawson (a future first-rounder in 2021) and Izak Rankine (No.5 in 2022). @AFLcomau

This is a win for the list build traditionalists. Geelong has embraced the free agency era more than any club but remains without a flag since its introduction. Melbourne did it via the draft, a couple of super groups topped up by trades. Dees deserve their shot. #AFLDeesCats

As a kid Nick Daicos used to love going to the park when it was wet so his dad Peter could kick the heavy ball & he could practice his touch. Today when others fumbled Nick didn't. He never does. Genetics are one thing but it's preparation that is delivering this form from day 1.

Might just be me, but the idea to put local footballers in the Grand Final sprint is pointless. Surely you want to see an AFL player win it, not some random. #bigissues

Love the immediate finger in the air celebration as soon as the ball hit Nick’s boot. He knew. 👆⭐️

There's a difference between 'fully endorsed' and 'unanimous vote'. It is impossible to see how Kevin Sheedy remains a board member at Essendon.

Hard to think of a more organised and better executed plan from Essendon against a quality team for some time. The conviction in two rucks, the keepings off May, the Setterfield job, the Snelling inclusion for specific role, the sub spark & team buy-in. Let’s call it #BradBall

"I truly believe that I'm in the AFL for a purpose bigger than just playing footy and it's to spread the goodness of Jesus." Ollie Dempsey wasn't always comfortable talking about his faith. For the first time, he details his beliefs & bond with Gary Jnr.

In a tribute to Richmond's late recruiting manager Chris Toce, the Tigers have invited Chris' young son Harry to input the details for the No.1 pick and submit the selection tonight in their draft room at Marvel. Chris passed away last month after joining Richmond in March.

Reckon Tom Papley can count himself a little unlucky. Copped $500 fine for staging three weeks ago and today Dylan Grimes gets cleared for his action. Is there much difference between the two?!

Darcy Parish with 13 touches, two clearances, four inside-50s and the match-winning goal in the last quarter. Proof playing a midfielder in the midfield works.
