Politics spends too much time arguing about yesterday, don't you think? 🇬🇧 If changing the way Britain works with Europe helps our fishermen, our farmers, our businesses & our NHS, let's do it 💪 Not because of ideology but because North Norfolk comes first ❤️

Shaffaq Mohammed started out on a youth training scheme in Sheffield on £27.50 for 40 hours. Now he's in the Lords, fighting for the million young people who haven't had that first chance yet. @shaffaqmohd

Brexit is costing us £90bn a year. That’s why we are calling for a bold new deal with Europe to boost growth, create jobs and keep our country safe. It’s the first step towards giving our children a better future, fixing the cost of living and getting our country back on track.

The world has changed. So too must our approach. It's time for a bold new deal with the European Union - including joining the single market.

Today I asked the Government how it plans to invest in staff so they have the right skills and infrastructure to test and use new AI tools to improve outcomes for patients.

10 years on, the Brexit deal clearly isn't working. Joining the single market would turbocharge our economy, end the chaos and put us back at the heart of Europe. @CalumMillerLD

With the number of patients waiting over a year for community health services going up by a staggering 32% since last year, I challenged the Government to take action to ensure patients receive timely community health services.

As we mark #LearningDisabilityWeek, I think this is the only Lords question on the issue. More data is welcome, but it won't stop learning disability budgets being raided to cover overspends elsewhere. Ring-fenced budgets are urgently required to protect these services.

It looks as though Vladimir Putin may have ordered an arson attack against the British Prime Minister last year. That is an incredibly serious escalation and shows why we must redouble our efforts with Ukraine and the rest of Europe to resist and deter Putin’s aggression.
