Our new project @AbortionInUSA aims to help personal stories of the impact of abortion bans break through the noise and move people to act. Proud to be part of this team.
Cecile Richards, the former President of Planned Parenthood, is one of the founders of Abortion in America.

Reminder: The vast majority of abortions - about 90% - occur very early in pregnancy. When they do occur later, it is almost always because a woman’s health or life are at risk, or because her pregnancy is no longer viable.

Marching is great. Knitting a pink pussy hat is great. Calling members of Congress is also great. But voting is the whole deal, and that’s how we are going to change the direction of this country.

For every person who asked me “Can he win?”, this goes out to you. When Ann Richards was elected Governor of Texas, not one poll showed us winning. But we did because folks never gave up. Polls don’t vote; people do! Let’s make it happen for @BetoORourke & progressives across TX.

Women shouldn't have to share our most personal stories just to generate a modicum of sympathy. But too often, we do.

There’s something happening in Louisiana right now that should be setting off alarm bells for people all over the country - but it hasn’t gotten nearly enough attention. 🧵

One in five women in America has been to Planned Parenthood. They don't come to make a political statement - they come for health care.

For anyone who has ever wondered whether marching, speaking out at town halls, & making calls to Congress works—today is proof that it does.
