Due to the hard work of all the cooperating agencies' ground & air resources have stopped the forward progression on Mile Marker 132 fire. The 20-acre fire started just East of Hwy 97, north of Cooley Rd & south of Beechcraft Ln. All aircraft released by 7:20pm & now mopping up.

Shout out to the person who just reported an abandoned campfire & put it out. Campfires are not allowed on federal lands in Central Oregon except in designated campgrounds. We have extreme fire conditions and resources are spread thin and working hard. A spark might take a life.

Four Central Oregon Rappellers have knocked down incident 491 on the south side of Maiden Peak on the Crescent RD (@DesNatlForest) with some support from strategic helicopter bucket drops to cool hot spots. Nice catch, Rapps!

With 19 lightning wildfire starts across Central Oregon firefighting crews are keeping busy. More fires are likely to come over the next day or two. Please do everything you can do to prevent human caused starts. We have enough going on with natural starts!

As fire activity picked up on #Darlene3Fire today, fire crews worked hard to protect critical infrastructure that provides communications and power to the area. As seen here, a task force from Yamhill County rolled in to minimize fire growth on the western flank of the fire.
