- Just this year, 10 Chicago Police officers have been shot and 41 officers have had shots fired at them. Let's not lose sight of the courage our officers show as they risk their own safety to protect this city.
- We gathered at Stroger Hospital overnight to support two of our officers who were shot while bravely protecting this city. Please keep these officers and their families in your thoughts as they recover from their injuries.
- Officers from @ChicagoCAPS06 noticed a group of children in the neighborhood playing basketball using a milk crate as their hoop. The officers saw an opportunity to help the kids with their game, so they got together to buy them a new hoop and basketballs. 🏀🏀🏀

- We deeply respect an individual's right to peacefully protest and we will do everything we can to protect that right. But, we will not stand by, and in fact we are obligated to act, while City or private property is being damaged or while violent acts are being committed.
- At no point in recent memory have our #ChicagoPolice officers ever faced such a level of inherent danger while performing their duties. Yet they continue to bravely serve with honor each day and night.
