- After 49 days of darkness, today the people of Tromsø, Norway will see the sun for the first time since the 26th November. A total of 54 minutes of daylight for them today as the polar night comes to an end for another year! Here’s the latest pic from Tromsø
- Although it won't be confirmed until after the event has reached Earth, there are signs tonight's Severe Geomagnetic Storm will be the strongest since 2005. This will mean it's likely all of the UK (cloud permitting) should be able to see the the Aurora tonight if you look north
00:00 - It amazes me that with people piling into @glastonbury this week, it will become the most densely populated place in the world! 122,000 people per square mile will be at #Glastonbury, beating Manila in the Philippines, which has 111,000 people per square mile! 🤯

- Many are asking if we’ll see the #Aurora again tonight. Activity is expected to slowly decline, however there is a good chance (cloud permitting) you’ll be able to see it again tonight. I’ve popped some top tips here itv.com/news/anglia/20…
- It has been confirmed that last nights rare event was classified as a G5 Extreme Solar Storm by NOAA. This last happened in October 2003 Although not as strong tonight, with a number of geomagnetic storms persisting the #AuroraBorealis could be visible again cloud permitting
