- Thanks to all who have reached out, and posted their own tributes, about my uncle, Jim Caple. He died last night, at 61, after battling ALS and dementia. I admired him deeply, and his mentorship meant more to me than I can say. Please keep my aunt Vicki in your thoughts.

- How big of a deal is it that UW is playing for a national title? In Longview, my hometown, there isn't any sporting event bigger than the annual Mark Morris vs. R.A. Long basketball series. This year's game at RAL was scheduled for Monday. They rescheduled it for tomorrow.
