We start everyday with hip mobility. I think it’s the most neglected part of high school OL development. If you want to build monster OL on the field & in the weight room, then unlock their hips. Several OL in this picture are 270+ lbs. Big boys that can bend = 🧨 #fatcowboys

D2/D3 ball has such a lesser than stigma that so many HS athletes and portal guys won't even entertain D2/D3 ball. As the spring recruiting season heats up here soon, I wanted to spit some facts as not just a HS coach but a dad of a guy who went D2 and dropped down to D3 (cont.)

When a NC teacher and assistant football coach can go to SC and make 15k+ more a year doing the same job , with no cost of living increase, and an equal educational system it’s a no brainer. Talked with numerous friends who teach/coach in SC and it’s a different world.

The Coastal OL was supposed to get shut down & embarrassed according to the “experts”. I’ve watched this “undersized” OL do this all year. They continue to play with a chip on their shoulder and get it done. They have continually proven that it’s about “want to”, not height

To all my OL Coaches in NC Thoughts/Interest on starting up an Offensive Line summit for coaches? Do it clinic style and talk about everything that has to do with OL play. Share technique, philosophies, drills, talk about building mindset, various run/pass schemes, etc..

Our youth need school, need sports, need extracurricular activities, need good examples of how we should treat our fellow man, need normalcy, need structure, & above all, they need to know they’re not forgotten and we care. We have got to do better America. They deserve it.

The final ride of 2019 by the “Fat Cowboys” ended the way we planned. What a year this group had. The cohesiveness of this unit and how they held each other accountable was inspiring. Final stats: 2093 rushing on the year and 4686 passing with only 7 sacks given up. #StateChamps

Absolutely awesome moment for me today. Former player, straight out of boot camp, stopped by to tell one of his old coaches hello. This is what it’s all about, relationships that last. The @USMC has a fine young man and a good Marine.

Just moved our guy @SamWhitt_52 in for the summer at LR and headed home. Excited for this next journey he is on and to watch his growth under the great staff @LRBearsFootball. Go be great son!
