- Cole went swimming in Cedar Rapids all day yesterday. I ask him if it was fun and he responds, "Yeah, but Wendy Peffercorn wasn't on duty" I feel like I have succeeded as a father now!
- RIP to the best father a boy could ever ask for. Raising two bratty kids as a single dad on a teacher/coach salary was impossible. Yet you made it look so easy. I followed in ur footsteps to become a teacher/coach and have never regretted it. Tks for everything, love you!
- This morning was the last time that I got to pencil in these three seniors into a North Linn line up card. You've accomplished more than anyone would have imagined the last 5 years, but we're not done yet!
- A bunch of teenagers gave up their entire Saturday to help a bunch of strangers because we asked them for help. That same scenario played out all over Iowa from many different communities all week long! This right here is why Iowa is so special, people just get it!
- City of Alburnett is currently closed due to everyone being here in Des Moines!
- North Linn. 52 Grand View Christian. 48 What a game and what a season! State Champs, wow, just wow! #lynxcountry
- Still seems like kind of a blur after this crazy week of basketball and lack of sleep. Couldn't be more proud of this group of 4 seniors. If anyone wonders why coaches put themselves through all the crazy crap we do, it's for dudes like this. North Linn is a very special place!
- Thanks to all our fans for toughing out a tough schedule this week. Couldn't be more proud of these you men, they've worked their butts off for MANY years together to earn this championship! #lynxcountry
- Tri-Rivers Conference has two teams playing for a State Championship on Saturday. Neither team won their own Conference Title. Nothing comes easy in the Tri-Rivers #TriRivers
- 364 days a year @AlbBoysBball and North Linn are HUGE rivals, but not today. State Championship Day 2:10 Alburnett vs GVC 4:10 North Linn vs Boyden Hull Come early and stay late Tri-Rivers fans!
- Can't explain how proud I am of this young group. We had a lot to replace from last year (asst coach included) and I'm not sure many people thought we would be very good. Kids kept grinding and improving every single week. Who knows how far we can go now, we're not done yet!
- Replying to @MartinBrosAAUHappy Carson chose to finish off the baseball season with his best friends. He pitched a hell of a game Friday to defeat us. Congrats Carson and great choice! Whatever "adult" chose to tweet this about a young man needs to take a deep breath and relax.
- Congrats to former Lynx standout @jakehilmer on getting picked up by the @waterloobucks to play some Northwoods League Baseball. He is being added to their bullpen roster. Great opportunity for a young man that just continues to improve his game. The sky is the limit!
