- High school recruits….I am a High School coach. Please stop sending me your film. “Coach, I’ve researched your school and think I’ll be a great fit” Make each DM personal and ACTUALLY do your research. Don’t let your first interaction with a college coach be a lie.
- I know a little school in Davis, Oklahoma that set the record for reaching the state playoffs for 34 consecutive years. They run the Wishbone. They’ve produced Doctors, Lawyers, Nurses, Vets, and many other great people. There’s more to life than the “next level” in football.Stop running wing T and Triple Option in little league and high school ! It’s not helping your kids get to the next level !

- When people ask why I coach and I say “you wouldn’t understand”.
- It’s okay to not go D1. Only 2.8% of HS athletes go on to play football at the D1 level. Only 1.8 go on to play D2 and only 2.5% earn the opportunity to play D3. If you have an opportunity at ANY level consider yourself a top tier athlete and go earn your degree.
- To all my player past and present (when you’re of age)…please don’t drink & drive. If you’re out and have too much to drink, call me. I don’t care if it’s 3am. - Right now, there are 13 Marines and Chaplins in their Service Alpha uniform. They are on their way to notify a fellow Marine’s next of kin, that their loved one was killed in Afghanistan. Thoughts and prayers are with the families of the fallen this morning.
