Here’s to the folks out there that don’t need a political party or ideology to tell them what to do or think, but instead employ the use of common sense and decency.- “All country and no western” is the musical equivalent to “all hat no cattle.” Nashville is all country no western.
- Glad some folks are enjoying our cut of “Big Iron.” It’s a tribute to Grady Martin as much as it is a tribute to Marty.
- “Saskatchewan in 1881” is not a historical account. It’s meant to be a little bit of prairie humour set to doc watson-ish progression. Stop yelling at me about canola.
- I won’t get too heated about Garth brooks but I will say the city of Regina is blatantly fucking over Folk Fest this year by having him play during the same weekend. Pretty damn disrespectful.
- I’m sure I am not the first to say this but, some of you folks are kinda loose with your Johnny Cash comparisons. Go back and listen before making those please.
- A few words about W.B. Walker. This man was playing my music when nobody outside of SK had any idea who I was. The man could care less about trends, or popularity, or anything other than the quality of the stories and sounds coming out of the speakers....
