    I am tired of NHS IT that isnt open to integration with modern applications like the high quality and free dictation on my smartphone. Rage against closed platforms and crap usability @DHCCIO @NHSDigital @NHSEngland why does NHS IT always have to be out of date? #nevergreen

    A patient-centric record system will not stop a hospital from keeping its own record, and "owning it" but the patient can also "own" it. Its not a brown folder, it can exist in many places at once. Only the citizen can bring all the records together. citizen =point of integration

    In USA I have seen very much this in action. Friend could show me complete record on iPhone, could take iPhone & show to another Doctor for a 2nd Opinion, could allow partner to have PIN in case access needed in case of emergency anywhere in the world. @donberwick @BarackObama

    NHS Tusts have made video consultation widely available but in order to get meds, the patient still needs to take this grubby green form and stand in a queue in a pharmacy. Can we go to email during the crisis @nhsx @matthewsgould @MattHancock @BootsUK #StayHomeSaveLives

    In order for @GreatNorthCare to get 100% of 3.6 million GP records shared with secondary care we had to hang out with anthropologists, bioethicists and sociologists who helped us realise that it's much more complex than "legal basis".
