🇪🇺🗣️ Productive discussion with Director-General of AGRI Elisabeth Werner this morning as part of my role as Renew's lead on the next CAP. We discussed financing, capping, & generational renewal, as well as the need to advance urgent legislation to address the fertiliser crisis.

🇪🇺 Key votes in Strasbourg today. I supported the Returns Regulation - delivering a firmer but fairer immigration system that protects genuine asylum while speeding up returns for those whose cases are not granted.

🇺🇸🇪🇺 The European Parliament has just voted to approve the trade deal with the US. Over the past year, the EU remained united in the face of Trump’s threats and secured an agreement that, while not perfect, provides certainty for key sectors in Ireland & across Europe.
