- This is the second and third settlement we secured in our lawsuit against RealPage and the corporate landlords that colluded to hike DC rents. We will keep fighting to hold every remaining defendant accountable and restore fairness and competition to DC’s housing market.NEW: Two more landlords involved in RealPage's price-fixing scheme in DC will pay $1.4 million. They'll also be banned from using rent-setting software to coordinate prices. We're not letting up our fight against RealPage and the corporate landlords that colluded to hike rents.

00:00 - NEW: Two more landlords involved in RealPage's price-fixing scheme in DC will pay $1.4 million. They'll also be banned from using rent-setting software to coordinate prices. We're not letting up our fight against RealPage and the corporate landlords that colluded to hike rents.Replying to @DCAttorneyGenOur settlements require Avenue5 and Bell to: ✅ Each pay $700,000 in payments to impacted residents, penalties, and legal fees ✅ Prohibit the use of anticompetitive software to set rents and not promote it to others ✅ Stop sharing non-public rental data with other landlordsStep by step, we are dismantling a price-fixing scheme that hiked rents on DC families. The illegal collusion that RealPage facilitated undermined the free and open competition we need to drive down housing costs. We won't stop until we restore fairness in DC's housing market.
